Our bathtub (enamel over steel) was badly stained and was rusting out in one corner. Over the past couple of years I had tried twice to recoat it, using a product that did make it look much better, but after a little while would begin to peel off, starting at the drain. Also, a leak behind the tiled wall was forcing us to remove some tiles to fix the leak and replace the wall that had become soggy. We had decided to replace the tub and it's tile surroundings with a fiberglass "remodel" tub and enclosure. Because our house has only one bathroom, we kept delaying the project and the inconvenience it would cause. Fortunately we heard of your process before ripping apart our bathroom. A few rows of tiles were removed to repair the pipes and wall, then replaced. Since we had never really liked the color of the tiles, we elected to coat the tiles as well as the tub with the ProFinish process.
